INDIGENOUS CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES

Dizzy Bear Designs is an Indigenous-owned clothing and accessory company.

We offer a wide range of Indigenous clothing and accessories, each handcrafted with original designs that reflect culture, resilience, and identity.

Supporting Indigenous causes—such as Residential School Survivors and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG2S+)—has always been at the core of our values. As an Indigenous person herself, Laura understands firsthand the lasting impact that both past and present injustices have had on Indigenous communities.

That’s why many of our pieces are created to raise awareness and show support for Indigenous-led movements, with designs that honour truth, healing, and strength.

Our Values

Dizzy Bear Designs believes in building people up and finding ways to strengthen the community.

Supporting Community

Supporting community is at the heart of everything we do at Dizzy Bear Designs. Our work is rooted in the belief that when we uplift each other, we all thrive.

Whether it's through donating time and resources, collaborating with other Indigenous artists, or showing up for local events, we’re committed to giving back in meaningful ways. Laura continues to be actively involved as an Indigenous Youth Worker, volunteer, and advocate for education, youth empowerment, and cultural connection.

We also strive to make space for others—especially Indigenous youth and artists—to find their voice, share their gifts, and feel seen and supported.

When you support Dizzy Bear Designs, you’re not just supporting one artist — you're helping build a stronger, more connected community.

Donations to survivors

A portion of proceeds from our Every Child Matters and No More Stolen Sisters collections is donated directly to survivors as a gesture of support, respect, and solidarity.

These designs are created with care and intention — to honour the lives impacted by residential schools, MMIWG2S+, and ongoing injustices faced by Indigenous communities.

Your support helps us continue this work, grounded in truth, remembrance, and healing.

Collaboration

At Dizzy Bear Designs, community and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to work alongside other talented Indigenous artists who share a passion for culture, creativity, and connection.

One of our ongoing collaborators is Sheila Lowe—a gifted Métis artist and designer whose work beautifully reflects her identity and storytelling traditions through handcrafted pieces that inspire and empower.

We believe in lifting each other up and creating space for Indigenous voices in the arts. Together, we’re stronger.

Family

Family is the foundation of Dizzy Bear Designs.

As a proud mother, Laura finds daily inspiration in the love, laughter, and strength that comes from being surrounded by family. Her daughter plays a big role in her life — whether they’re cheering each other on from the sidelines of a softball game or spending quiet moments creating together at home.

Family keeps Laura grounded and connected to her roots, culture, and purpose. It's through this lens of love and responsibility that she approaches her work, her art, and her community.

Dizzy Bear Designs isn’t just a creative business — it’s a reflection of the values passed down through generations: resilience, kindness, and the power of showing up for one another.
