Laura Ward

Creative Director

Laura is a proud member of the Tla'amin Nation, living and creating on the unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish Nations.

She is passionate about building community capacity and believes deeply in the strengths and gifts that each individual has to offer. As a community leader, Laura has seen firsthand how the arts can bring people together, foster connection, and empower voices—especially within Indigenous communities.

Creative expression has always been a part of Laura’s life. Through her business, Dizzy Bear Designs, she’s creating space to focus more on her art, spend time with her teenager, and continue giving back to her community in meaningful ways.

In addition to being a small business owner, Laura works as an Indigenous Youth Worker and is a strong advocate for education and youth empowerment. Outside of work, you’ll often find her volunteering at local events or cheering on her daughter at the softball diamond.
